SECOND CHANCE FOR REEL ROCK!!

The third annual Reel Rock Film Tour featuring climbers from the hit DVD series Dosage comes to DCC for a second showing on Sunday November 23rd 7.30pm - 9.30pm.  Price: £5 on the door.  Everyone who saw the show on Sunday will agree it was inspirational and action packed.  The show is excellent value for money including extracts from many new upcoming climbing movies. Visit www.reelrocktour.com for more information.  The two hour show features extracts from the following upcoming movies plus a full length screening of Sender Films new film The Sharp End.

Reel Rock Filmmaking Competition Winners         (8:00)
The first thing you’ll see tonight are three short films that are the winners of the first Reel Rock Filmmaking Competition.  People from all over the world submitted 3 minute films in one of two categories - Action/ Drama or Comedy/ Spoof.  The best entries were posted on REELROCKTOUR.com, and over 10,000 people voted for their favorites.  You’ll see the winning film in the comedy category first, then the winner for drama.  Next is a third film chosen by the judges because it was too cool to leave out.

Grand Canyon Walls             (10.00)
Next up is Grand Canyon Walls.  This is a short film from Big Up and Sender about a three week trip down the Grand with Beth Rodden, Tommy Caldwell and Chris McNamara.  I t was one of the first serious climbing explorations of the Grand Canyon, and the team found first ascents all along the way.

On Sight                                              (8.00)
Next up is an extract from a new climbing feature called On Sight, by Alistair Lee from England.  It’s all about On Sight Climbing, especially focusing on scary traditional routes in the UK.

Aerialist                                              (10:00)
The third short is an extract from Aerialist, another new feature coming out this year by Brad Lynch.  The movie follows Dean Potter on his mission to learn how to fly.

Rocklands, South Africa                    (14.00)
The last short is the latest footage from Big Up Productions, shot this July in Rock lands, South Africa, and shows Daniel Woods, Paul Robinson, and Tommy Caldwell on some of the hardest and craziest boulder problems in the world.

The Sharp End (55:00)
Feature Presentation: the brand new movie from Sender Films called The Sharp End.  It’s directed by Peter Mortimer and Nick Rosen, and it tells the stories of the lunatic climbers pushing the fringe of scary dangerous climbing…… compulsive viewing!
