We are running the following course dates for beginner and intermediate climbers. The National Indoor Boulder Award Scheme takes you from beginner to competent boulder in 5 levels. Aims of NIBAS
to develop climbing movement skills and improve levels of ability
to learn how to use equipment appropriately
to develop risk assessment and risk management skills in the sport
to work as a team, communicate with, and trust other boulderers
to provide a structure for development, motivation and improved performance
to develop an understanding of the sport, its history and ethics
to provide a record of personal achievement
to point the way to further disciplines and challenges in climbing beyond the scheme.
Level 1 NIBAS Beginner Course New Boulderer
Includes Level 1 NIBAS Certificate
Saturday 19th January - Saturday 9th February 2019 (4 weeks) 1pm - 2.30pm
An introductory course in climbing. Each person receives a log book to work through and achieves a Level 1 national award and certificate in Bouldering.

Level 2 NIBAS Foundation Boulderer
Includes Level 2 NIBAS Certificate
Wednesday 9th January - 3rd April 2019 (12 weeks) 7pm - 8pm
The next step from NIBAS Level 1, further developing skills in bouldering.
Cost £120.00 (includes coaching, shoe hire each session)

Level 3 NIBAS Competent Boulderer
Includes Level 3 NIBAS Certificate
Monday 7th January - 1st July 2019 (20 weeks) 7.00pm - 8.00pm
Demonstrating further skills and application of techniques in bouldering.
Cost £100 on first session + £100 on week 11 (25th March 2019)

Level 4 NIBAS Skilled Boulderer

Tuesday 7pm - 8.30pm x 20 weeks 2019 (8th January - 18 June)
Self motivated and highly competent boulderer with a wide range of skills looking to progress and be able to identify and set goals to help them improve.
Cost: Log book £7.00 + £150 on week 1 + £150 on week 11 (26th March 2019)
