Biggest Ever Refurbishment!

We are so excited to be opening our doors on the 25th July! We have some new operating procedures in place to make sure you can always climb safely.

Online booking is now open! Just follow the link below or book from the main calendar.

We have conducted risk assessments on all sessions and ask that you please take the time to read and follow COVID-19 Policies and Procedures before your visit. Our new COVID-19 Operating policy is adapted from ABC guidelines written with UK Active and their reopening framework of the Gym and Fitness Industry.

We all understand how important any physical activity is, and as the Chief Medical Officer stated, ‘There is no situation, no age, no condition, where exercise is not a good thing’.

To ensure you can always enjoy your climb, our management will be continuously reviewing the new policies and procedures and reserve the right to make any changes as necessary to comply with government guidelines and best practice.

Our policies are based around three key principles: Social distancing, hygiene measures and capacity management.

What’s New?

Full Centre Refurbishment & Route Reset

The centre has undergone a transformation during the closure to freshen up and improve our climbing facilities for you! The entire centre has had a lick of paint including all the climbing walls. Every single route is fresh, and created by our route setting team over a full week of route setting.

New routes and new angles, introducing the new 'Wave' in the tunnel.  The Wave replaces the stepped roof and provides the backdrop for a showpiece World Cup style boulder using some of the brand new XCult holds. Climbers can get to grips with new holds and volumes from leading brands Blue Pill and XCult!

Brand new style of route setting

New Grading System

It is now even easier to find climbs thanks to our new simplified grading system.

We have developed a new easy to follow traffic light grading system. The problems are grouped into easy, mid and hard categories.

Problems in each category can be any hold colour. This gives climbers more variety of holds across the grade range and the opportunity for you to try out all the different holds!

Grade sheets are displayed on the advanced area notice board.

Griptonite

The grading system is available to view on the Griptonite climbing app. Simply download the app and keep a record of every route you’ve ever climbed!

A brand new leader board screen is now installed in the advanced area to track progress and compete with your fellow climbers!

Training Area

The training area is fully stripped and reset. The Beastmaker board now has a new mix of wooden holds . The new Beastmaker board is loaded up on Stokt so download the app to make up your own problems!

A new addition to the training area is the new peg board.

Please be aware the training area has a maximum capacity of 3 people.
