January Prices 2026

Costs are rising across the board — food, fuel, bills, and business rates. We all feel the impact.

With that in mind, we want to be clear about our approach at Durham Climbing Centre: we are not increasing our prices.

Running the centre continues to become more expensive — from rent and equipment to materials and wages — but we’ve chosen to absorb those costs rather than pass them on to our community.

Over the past year, we’ve invested in new holds, improved social spaces, and ongoing staff development, alongside the essential maintenance required to operate a modern climbing gym. Looking ahead to 2026, we’ll be building on that work by increasing our route-setting schedule and moving to weekly setting with our Impact Route Setting team. This reflects our continued commitment to high-quality routes, coaching, and customer service.

Durham Climbing Centre has always been about community, thoughtful route setting, and providing a space to switch off and climb. Keeping climbing accessible — and the centre reliable — remains central to what we do.

So for now, our prices stay the same.

And our focus remains on doing things well, for the long term.
