Route Setting Workshop SOLD OUT

Saturday 17th October 3pm – 7pm

If you are an experienced climber and want to have a go at route setting your very own climbing problems, then we've got the workshop for you!

This route setting workshop includes an introduction into the health and safety aspect of route setting and a discussion about how to set interesting climbs within a specified grade range and how to set for your audience.

The workshop is a practical opportunity for climbers who have an interest in route setting to create their own problems at Durham Climbing Centre. The problems are tested and graded by the workshop participants. DCC’s in-house route setting team are on-hand to lead the workshop and offer practical advice. The first part of the workshop involves the practical route setting part, then after a tidy up participants are free to test, tweak and give feedback on everyone’s problems.
