The Durham Climbing Centre Spring Send Festival is a one day climbing competition held in Spring at Durham Climbing Centre!
There are cash prizes up for grabs for all of the podium finishers, as well as raffle prizes and loads of freebies throughout the day!
Red bull is one of the sponsors for the event and the route-setting will be done by the amazing Impact Route Setting. With a live DJ throughout the competition, expect an exciting atmosphere and electrifying spectators final!
Entry to the final is £2 for spectators or free for pass holders! Everyone is welcome.
The competition consists of 25 qualifier boulders, with the top 5 competitors from Open Male and Open Female will qualify for a world cup-style final consisting of 3 boulders each with 4 minutes to complete each one. This event is not to be missed!
Send Fest is a stand alone event, and will also celebrate the winners of Winter Boulder Series
The Send Fest is also an opportunity to celebrate the winners from the Winter Boulder Series 2025!
Winners from each category, including Under 18s and Vets, in the WBS receive free entry to the Send Fest competition as part of their prize for winning! The top 3 in each category will be invited up to the podium to collect their prizes for the Winter Boulder Series. This will be a separate awards ceremony to the Send Fest podium, as the Send Fest is a stand-alone competition, therefore you do not need to have competed in the WBS in order to participate.
