Round 2 of the DCC Summer Boulder Ladder comes to a close this Friday 18th July ready for another 35 Green problems to be set by Paul Carruthers!
Round 2 was set by Mickey Stainthorpe from Eden Rock Climbing Centre. Mickey set some challenging and tricky problems with moves to think about before jumping on and wasting that valuable flash attempt! The mighty problem #26 using pinches on the overhanging 45 wall has separated the scoreboard between DCC competitors for this round with only a small handful completing the problem to date! Urban Bitenc has now creeped into 1st place for the Senior Male category by 1 point after being joint 1st with Carl Richardson in round 1!
In the Youth Boulder Ladder for under 16’s, Kieran Patterson is now closing in on Jack Graham in the 13-15 Male category – both with an impressive score of 372 for round 2. Thomas Dumble is currently sitting in first place for the 10-12 Males with 304 points! Georgia Hewison is now almost 400 points clear of her competition in the 7-9 Female category! Well done to everyone that has entered so far!
Remember the SBL is all about having a bit of fun, it’s also a good way to measure your own progress each round! Round 3 is coming up this Friday 18th July with 35 Green problems set by Paul Carruthers and will be open until Friday 8th August. Come down and give them a go, knowing Paul expect some strong and powerful moves for round 3!
Friday’s are always funky with great music and entry for just £5 after 6pm!
