So what’s the scoop with these new HRT Climbing holds?
The new HRT holds supplied by series sponsors HRT have changed the scenery here at DCC! The new shapes create fresh new problems which makes you think outside the box! Thinking outside the box to complete the problem, the holds range from new sharp slopers to truly awful crimps but not forgetting about new shapes of jugs. New pinks are already up, with new purples going up this Friday.
The new pink circuit from Gaz Parry are still available to try and makes a super workout circuit! The circuit has many new different moves but still keeps it creative, enjoyable and futuristic. The new problems are different but the circuit keeps in mind a large compilation for all types of climbers whether they are beginners or advanced. Different styles are catered for so whether the climber enjoys crimps or slopers, there’s always something for everyone.
Each round of this years Winter Boulder Series brings guest route setters to DCC to offer the best variety and highest quality problems for competitors to enjoy. The route setters have a lot of experience in the world of climbing. Round 3 setter Ian Dunn has over 100 first accents under his belt he also climbed 8a back in 1989 along with his 35+ years in climbing he knows a thing or two about a good problem!
Have you ever seen the pro’s climb in the competitions on youtube? And you’ve said “well that looks easy” well we are running the Winter Boulder Series final on Saturday 15th March. The final problems set by Gaz Parry and in a world cup style format so you can give them a go yourself, you know you want to! Cash prizes and raffle prizes from sponsors are up for grabs on the night!
